Denver Gang Bang Recap

Jen and Juice over at Cycle Jerks are just now recovering from their weekend long Gang Bang. Jen was kind enough to answer a few questions about the event…

What was the hardest part about putting on a weekend long bike event?
No sleep! When I was tallying up the scores at the end of the race at 7am I was so delirious I went into a crazed laughing fit and couldn’t stop.

What was the most unexpected thing that happened?
Cops were super cool! We had over 100 people outside of this bar all dressed up and with bikes, the cops came up and asked what we were doing. When we said scavenger hunt they were like “Nice! What kind of stuff do you need to get?!” One of the things people had to collect was a rubbing of a cops badge and they were really nice about it, one even made a xerox of his middle finger for the “xerox something bad” item for one team.

If you were to do it again, what would you do differently?
Well we will be doing it again, next Memorial Day weekend. It was so much fun, we have to. I think next time we should have a couple more organizers. Justin, our photographer Michelle and I were racing around the city in a car (thank you, Michelle- it was her car) all night to make it to each checkpoint to hold the events. We had to transport things like kegs and food, next year I don’t want to have to use a car.

I trust the next Cycle Jerks episode will be a Gang Bang special… When is that due out?
We just finished filming peoples video confessions of the weekend last night, Justin will be blending that with race footage and photos from the weekend. It will be out on or before Tuesday, June 3rd.
