I am just happy more companies are reusing and recycling what would normally go into the landfill. Great stuff!

Good time to check out those helmet mirrors. I've used one for, oh, about 30 years. It has saved my butt from some really bad stuff. If someone thinks you look dorky, well, is that the kind of person whose opinion you really care about?

I'm into my second year of using these pedals and shoes both for road and MTB. Aligning the shoe is VERY simple, I normally step right into now. The magent is strong enough that I get some pull on the pedal, maybe not the level of a traditional clipless but enough that I notice. There is also a little 'wiggle' in the shoe/pedal fit so you can adjust your foot position without losing the 'lock'.

I LOVE them - the added power and security of a clipless system without having to think about getting my foot free when in accident avoidance mode - there's enough to think about then, it's great to let reflex take care of getting my foot on the ground when needed! I've avoided some crashes that my riding partners haven't just because I could get my foot free while concentrating on avoiding the collision or fall. I've also never gashed the back of my leg - but my riding partners, using traditional clipless systems, still do from time to time!

The sound of a kazoo.

It is the only way to celebrate the approach of the self-pious hybrid operator with the same reverence as they have applied to their weird concept of "economy". Those things don't save the planet, driving less does. That means fewer miles and simpler equipment that is not devastating to mine, smelt, manufacture, and transport.

Put away your cell phone, use your turn signals, don't feel the need to pass a cyclist when there is a red light in front of you.
