Civia Twin City

The Civia Twin City is going after the casual rider who is looking to get around comfortably and in style, but isn’t so concerned about top speed or the latest tech. The top of the line Twin City model is shown, with a 7 speed internal hub and full matching fenders along with front and rear racks. The rear rack is welded into the frame for a solid and silent connection, the removeable front rack can accomodate a couple of bags of groceries, and the included double kickstand makes loading it up that much easier. The bike has clearance for 35 mm tires with the stock fenders, a perfect compromise between speed and flat protection around town in my opinion. The frame is a mix of 4130 chromoly and more pedestrioan steels, and weighs around 30 lbs. Available as shown with a step-through frame or with a step-over configuration for $995, with other models reach as low as $545 for a single speed with no fenders or racks. Too late did I realize that the Twin City’s big brother, the discontinued Loring, was an ideal city bike.

The market didn’t seem to recognize it at all.
