Cerevellum Hindsight 35 Rearview Camera System

Given the traffic in the United States and the way that the legal system looks down upon cyclists, it is no surprise that rear view cameras are coming into play. There are a number of people out there using headcams on their daily commute to document potential crashes or otherwise unsafe driving, and the $299 Hindsight 35 is a simply an extention of that. The bar mounted display is attached to a rear camera providing a real-time view of what’s behind, just like a luxury car. It also incoproates a black-box recording function where it is always recording a 5 minute loop of video that is only stored when an accelerometer in the device registers a crash, providing a level of documentation of a rear end collision otherwise lost. The rear camera also incorporates a blinkie tail light, whereas the head video display unit has ANT+ compatibility and functions as a cyclometer displaying the usual speed and distance along with heart rate and cadence with given optional bits, with soon to come power meter readouts and graphs.
