Central Park Bikers Warned To Keep Eyes Out For Thumbtacks
Not cool, New York. Not cool… According to CBS News:
Someone has apparently been putting down thumbtacks across the roads in Central Park. The concern, as CBS 2′s Tony Aiello found out Thursday, revolves around a possible backlash against the bike movement.

This kind of stuff is always going to be a problem whenever something grows quickly in popularity and developes a culture/ lifestyle along with the growth. You figure the urban cycling culture is following the same initial path as skateboarding, punk rock, and cafe racers in england. There is a “we are and you’re not” type of view that is exuded (even if unutentional) and that makes people act out against the progress of that group.

That’s all cities, but I’m sure law of probabilities pertains to this. The more people, the more pricks.

Perhaps it’s time to convert to Stan’s?
