Like many cyclists, I have a certain fascination with antique bicycles. Both for their age and the numbers of people that have potentially enjoyed a given bike and for the old technology when what we know today was first being figured out. The California Bicycle Museum located in Davis has a pretty impressive collection from the looks of their online gallery , with bikes and pre-bikes from the first half of the 1800′s on.

Thanks a lot, I was not aware this place existed. It looks awesome.
The CBM does have a great collection. It’s free admission today as stage 2 of the AMGEN Tour of Ca. begins there.
