The 2009 Brompton World Championships are scheduled for Sunday, October 4th leaving plenty of time to train. Really, last year none other than Roberto Heras lined up at the starting line ending up in second place to an amateur only 3 years after his failed doping control, stripping him of his Vuelta win. No matter the competition it’s going to be a fast 2 laps on the 6.5km course, with all competitors dressed appropriately in a suit and tie. Last year the winner took home a free Brompton, time will tell if the same plays out for 2009. Registration is open through mid-September, capped at 600 riders.
