The folks out in Denver decided not to jump on the bandwagon with bike polo. Instead, they’re playing “bike soccer,” which is essentially a rougher version of “cycle ball“. And this isn’t a new thing—they’ve been at it for more than four years. They use a softball with the leather and stitching removed. They encourage elbowing and knocking people off of their bikes.
The rules:
1) A minimum of 4 people on each team.
2) If a player’s foot touches the ground during play they must return to there goal and tag a team mate who then enters the game.
3) Only a players bicycle can touch the ball during play. If a player intentionally touches the ball during play he must return to the goal and tag a teammate.
