According to a post on Cyclelicio.us, the UC Davis bike cooperative, Bike Church, has been handed an eviction notice by the student housing authorities. The university contends that the structure (built by students without permission) is a liability, and that the organization itself also poses various liability threats to the university.
The university has ordered organization to remove their structure by December 31st. Bike Church hosted a fundraiser dance this past Saturday, and is asking for people to help raise money to keep the organization alive. Visit the Bike Church website for more information.
