Argonaut at NAHBS 2013
I’m not a carbon riding roadie, but I think if I was I’d be lusting after a custom Argonaut Cycles frame. Full custom monocoque construction using hand laid carbon and bladders, no carbon tubes and lugs here. The ride itself is fully customizeable as well, utilizing differing carbon layups and thicknesses to create just the ride you want — emulate the ride of your favorite frame that has gotten long in the tooth, or tune in the stiffness of each part of the frame for the way you ride. The frame has all of the modern day bells and whistles (PF30 BB, tapered 44mm headtube to fit codesigned Chris King I8 headset, integrated seatmast) and doesn’t come cheap. Expect to shell out $6500 for the custom frame and ENVE fork. Custom USA monocoque carbon doesn’t come cheap.
