An Agreeable Sound: Amy

Posted on by in Video with 8 Comments

Pittsburgh filmmaker Matt Dayak has been working on this series of “An Agreeable Sound” videos combining ’80s music with newly shot videos. This one features my neighbor Amy of Garbella handmade clothing and gear, and lots of scenes of our hometown’s riding. Local legend Rick Sebak makes an appearance, as does the non-descript front of the Urban Velo home office around the one minute mark if you know what to look for.

Why is Amy so mean (in the video)?

I’m with Randal. What’s the story supposed to be here? Riding bikes and lip-syncing turns you into a bad person?

Am I missing something here? Hidden message? Pointless humor? All I see is how to bike like a jerk. Like the music though.

It’s not an instructional video. It’s not a documentary. It’s a comical music video. She rides through the pie. That’s funny. Do you watch the pie fight scene in The Great Race and say, “I don’t get it, that’s not an appropriate way to behave at a party!”?
