The All-City Space Horse is a classic road or light-touring frame that, unlike many touring frames, rides well even without being loaded down. It features custom dropouts designed by All-City’s lead engineer, Anna Schwinn, daughter of Richard Schwinn of Waterford Precision Cycles.

A real beauty. Why canti’s, though? Besides some (very nice) primarily aesthetic touches on the AC, how is AC’s Space Horse substantially different from Salsa’s Casseroll? It seems both bikes are trying to reach the same exact customer (that is, randonneur looking for a production, mid-range, cromoly road bike with STI shifting), which is unusual at QBP. I guess we’ll have to see geometry info, and specs on the complete offerings, as well as riding both of them in order to tease out the deeper differences…
“Why canti’s”: bigger tires and fenders.
“How is AC’s Space Horse substantially different from Salsa’s Casseroll?”: double crank, fork crown…
Think i’ll have to purchase one.
