Bike camping is a great way to get out of the city for a while. But with chilly weather on the horizon, only the hardiest or most industrious cyclists will be heeding the call of the wild. One of those people is Brooklyn-based artist Kevin Cyr.
Right now his design accomodates just one rider/camper, but perhaps he’ll work on a tandem version next.

Ha! Maybe you can bend the rules and have one person pedal and the other sleep…or stick their head out the window and yell “MUSH.”
I wonder how he (if he does) shoulder checks?
That would be a bear to ride in a headwind. Then again, you could just park it in the lee side of a building and take a break.
I actually own a recumbent delta trike from Lightfoot Cycles that is a heavy duty utility vehicle. I have hauled a refrigerator over a couple of mountains, my 30+ pound son and a families weekly batch of groceries on it, etc. I live on the foothills of the Appalachians on the top of a hill so I am always climbing coming and going. However I cringe thinking about hauling this camper over anything but flat terrain. Just bring a tent or hennessy hammock and enjoy your rids.
